Gay marriage is “partly” legal in Brazil, Mexico and the USA (where it is legal in 18 states but not supported by the federal government).

Countries which have a proposed bill but which has not yet been passed include Andorra, Colombia, Finland, Germany, Ireland, Luxembourg, Nepal, Israel and
Taiwan.

In areas of Africa and the Middle East, homosexuality is illegal and punishable by imprisonment or death.

The legalization of gay marriage is a cause very close to my heart. I am not gay. But I do not have the right nor the desire to deny anyone else their sexual identity. I view the outlawing of gay marriage in much the same way as I view racism and even, to put it in perspective, slavery. It is outdated, inhuman and ignorant.
