Time Is Just A Concept In Malta, Not A Rule

This afternoon we took a stroll along the promenade.

The Maltese are a different people, indeed.

“Can we book a table for tonight?”

“Yes sir, for 19:30?”

“For about 18:30”

“No, I dont know if we will be open then”

“But you advertise that you open at 18:00”

“No but I dont know if we will open then. You will come at 19:30”

“Okay, can we sit at this table here?”

” No you can’t choose, the manager will tell you where you can sit”

“Excuse me? Well, can’t you tell the manager to choose this table?”

“No. In this restaurant you do not choose where you sit, the manager will choose where you sit”

We have decided to keep the booking, see how the evening pans out. This should be fun.
